Can You Give Unidentified Unique Items in D2 Hero Editor

An unidentified item.

Unidentified Items are items of magic quality and college, having backdrop (affixes), which are not yet known to the player (created at the time of dropping, not at the time of identification). Until identified, these properties volition accept no consequence.

Diablo I

In the original Diablo, magic and unique items all drop in their unidentified state called Not Identified. The actor identified items by using a Gyre of Identify, paying Deckard Cain, or using the Place skill (Bard from Hellfire only).

Unidentified items could be equipped in their unidentified form to provide the stats of their base item. In some cases, this was actually better, as at that place were negative effects on some items that fabricated identifying the items worse.

Items offered by Wirt were not technically unidentified, but considering you had to pay 50 coins before you were allowed to see them (non knowing anything, including the item type, in advance), they might every bit well have been.

Diablo Ii

In Diablo Ii, magic, rare, unique, and ready items all drop in their unidentified state. The player also had Scrolls of Place, that could exist (for the purpose of saving space in bags) stacked into a single Tome of Identify. If they completed the Search for Cain quest themselves, Deckard Cain would from then on place all items in your inventory costless of charge, including annihilation they had stashed in the Horadric Cube. If they did non complete the quest, Deckard Cain is rescued by the Rogues and will charge the player for identifying their items, just like the outset game.

Unlike the first Diablo, unidentified items cannot be equipped. Yet, magic Items can no longer accept negative effects except for some unique like Veil of Steel and Andariel's Visage, so there is never a risk involved by identifying them.

While unidentified items are supposed to have unknown effects, due to the fact that unique and set items are colored differently, it is sometimes possible to know what a certain item is without needing to become it identified. Because of this, the player tin can choose to not identify an item if they exercise non plan to use it. The selling price of identified item is, nearly always, roofing the identification expenses.

Gambling was a new generation of Wirt's hidden deals. Gambled items are unidentified (not even their quality is known, all items appear to be magic) until the thespian purchases them, at which betoken they are automatically identified when they enter the inventory.

Diablo Three

An unidentified particular in Diablo III.

In Diablo III, items tin can be identified by right clicking them, or by using the Book of Cain, with a five second cast time. There is no demand to pay any fee, or buy any reagents for that. During a cursory menses of the campaign, Deckard Cain can identify items for you too (result is exactly the aforementioned as if his book was used). Only legendary and fix items need to be identified: before that, they cannot be equipped, sold, enchanted, transmogrified or used for transmogrification. Unidentified items can be salvaged, withal.

Before patch 2.0., rare items were required to be identified besides. Nevertheless, players complained that information technology was only wasting time, so this was removed from the game.

Items in Kadala'southward store are sold unidentified (only the item type is known), only tin can be of whatever quality from normal to legendary / Set. When bought, they are identified immediately.
